SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY SUMMARY!
It’s been a while, but here’s what I’m checking out this week.
What I’m listening to:
Aoyama Thelma – ONIGIRI :
I heard this on the radio the other day and almost pulled the car over in disbelief. Trap-style Japanese music (Or “Trapanese” as I call it) is still on the rise. I personally don’t care for this style of music, and this specific song comes off as satire rather than an honest attempt. But if you like it, and that’s your jam, good on you.
What I’m watching:
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Finally an anime that understands my love of slice of life, crude humor, and psychic power comedy.
What I’m drinking:
Sweet Potato Flavored Soy Milk (焼きいも – yakiimo
Because why not.
It’s actually pretty good.
How I’m Studying Japanese:
Native Shadowing
Shadowing is a technique that’s supposed to improve listening, intonation, and speaking. It does help to know most of the vocabulary ahead of time so that you can understand the overall situations that they are using.
Until next time, STAY AWESOME!
