Sorry for the long absence!
Things might get even more hectic as I will be starting work at the university again next week. But do not fear humble citizens… I will continue to bring you updates of the Awesome that I find in Tottori!
SUNDAY SUMMARY: April 1, 2018
I’d try to find some sort of April’s fool joke, but I don’t think I have one.
What I’m Reading:
H2 by Mitsuri Adachi
As far as anime goes, I’m more a fan of action-oriented shows, but for Manga I don’t mind slower pacing, especially when I’m trying to learn the language. This series centers around first year High School students trying to find their place after being Middle School baseball stars.
Like I said, I like the slower pacing and because it’s all based in the real world, this book is easier to understand and more practical for learning than Fairy Tail.
What I’m Listening To:
Ride On Time – Tatsuro Yamashita
Recently 80’s Japanese music has seen a revival thanks to the Vaporwave movement, but the most of the music stands out on it’s own thanks to funky bass lines and enriched background harmonies.
Plus, it’s like sooooo 80’s.
What I’m Eating:
Nabe (Chanko Nabe pictured)
There are a bunch of “official” ways to make nabe, but truthfully we just cut up whatever we want and shove it in the pot with soup base. Goma (ごま),Sesame seeds, is one of the best!
This has been a great warm dish for the winter, and it’s really easy to make. You just have to pay the front cost of the nabe pot.
Well that’s all for now.
Stay tuned for more comics and such.
Until next time, STAY AWESOME!!!
